Dr. Mary Donohue is Founder of the Donohue Mentoring SystemTM and designs communication training that provide people with a roadmap to become people developers and achieve a better work/life ballance. Dr. Donohue is a world-renowned speaker and TEDx presenter, television personality and columnist. Her work appears in the Huffington Post and Financial Post.

Ron Owson

Professor Ron Owston

York University

Dr. Ron Owston is a Professor of Education and former Dean of the Faculty of Education and Founding Director of the Institute of Research in Learning Technologies (now IRDL) at York University. His recent projects include: external evaluator for the ABEL/Learning Connections online teacher community, a study on games to support literacy at grade 4, and an evaluation of Moodle use and lecture capture in large undergraduate courses in York's Faculty of Health.

Demofest

Explore, Learn, Share

Demofest is a space for demonstration of new and innovative technological solutions in the blended learning field. Participants will be able to interact with the technology displayed, as well as network with the exhibitors representing their technologies and projects.

IABL2017 is Blended Conference

If you cannot come in person, submit paper and record a video

IABL2017 invites virtual presenters. Those who cannot attend the conference in person, will have an opportunity to take part in IABL2017 at a distance via their computers or mobile devices.

Virtual Presenters

You are invited to submit your virtual presentation in keeping with the IABL 2017 Submission Guidelines. All virtual presentations will be delivered by presenters via Skype and will be projected to both our IABL face-to-face audience as well as our virtual delegates. Each virtual presentation consists of the following three elements:

  1. Skype presentation followed by a Q&A chat with audience
  2. Pre-recorded video (backup presentation)
  3. Optional online discussion through YouTube channel

Virtual presenters are invited to submit their proposal using the same guidelines as face-to-face presenters. Virtual presenters can choose from the following three categories: long paper, short paper, and industry showcases/practitioners presentation. All virtual sessions are going to be moderated by a session chair to ensure optimal interaction between the virtual presenter and the audience.
